The Role,

The Supplychain operation is considered to be very much in need of improvement with "lots to be done" to achieve the efficiences which are clearly attainable.
The current structure is that of a small centralised unit with a number of satellite (site) operations dealing with contracts locally.
The task is to identify, develop, propose and implement changes to the operation to gain efficiences within the Supplychain.

The Person
In essence we want to get one of the best supply chain managers in the
industry as we believe that we are the best company in construction as we
only employ the best people.
A persons positive mental attitude and team-working ability are also very
important. We believe in long term partnering with our clients and suppliers
so we want someone who buys into this approach.
Probably qualified MCIPS or similar, you will have a wealth of knowledge and experience covering the complete supplychain and procurement as it relates to a multi-million pound construction operation where the majority of the spend occures remotely.
You will be supremely confident in your ability to be responsible for and to manage the process which will lead to achieving the efficiences.
This will require a very much "hands on" style of management and proven leadership qualities are of paramount importance.
