Job Title - Production Expeditor

The Role -
Due to our ongoing expansion plans, we are looking for bright, positive, ambitious and hardworking individuals to join our busy Production team.

This team is responsible for the creation and implementation of production plans for a wide variety of product categories incorporating sourcing, sampling, costing, purchasing, production scheduling, quality control and timely delivery. All products are designed in-house and produced in the UK and Far East.

Responsibilities:
 Responsible for the expediting of manufacture of products
 Responsible for the sourcing and purchasing of components for the manufacture of various product categories
Encompassing:
 Briefing suppliers with details of components required, review and approval of samples and price negotiation
 Checking specification adherence
 Costing (achieving or exceeding targets)
 Raising Purchase Orders for components, and manufacturing
 Scheduling & prioritising
 Preparation of samples for approval within the business

 Presentation of proofs.

 Communication of approval or rejection to suppliers

 Air freight or sea freight proposals

 Delivery notification to the factory

Key Performance Indicators:
1. Achieving customer delivery schedules.
2. Improving the profitability of the Company through reduction of manufacturing costs
3. Reducing production lead times
4. Increase component supplier base - i.e. improve our choice.

The Person :-

As a Production Expeditor you will be a key member in a team responsible for turning creative ideas into finished products.

A key aspect of this role will involve communicating with absolute clarity both internally within the business and to our external suppliers.

As a business we build strong and lasting partnerships with our suppliers and you must be able to foster an excellent working relationship with them.

Further to this, you must have the ability to work within an environment which is deadline driven and extremely fast paced.

The Package

The remuneration package for the position is likely to be £17-20k , but will be tailored to meet both experience and ability. There is every expectation of advancement through training and enterprise.
